A good relationship between healthcare workers and the client’s social network is important. Wrong images often get in the way of family participation. What I often hear: ‘the family never has time’ or ‘if the family makes a mistake, the care organization is liable’. I call them family fables. That’s what my theater performance is called. I take on the role of family types and bring misunderstandings to life. In this way I help employees to see through these prejudices. Laughing together connects and relaxes so that the message gets better and people start talking.
